Crossmedia Campaign 2009 – shortage of resources?

United Responsability

This CD-ROM is a compilation of the most important radio capsules from all over Latin america related with natural resources. 2,500 copies were distributed as a supplement of the German magazine Lateinamerika Nachrichten (1000). The rest was delivered to schools and development cooperation projects as didactic material about the actual conflicts of natural resources in Latin america.

The news pool Latin america NPLA is dedicated to report minor and mayor events form the other side of the atlantic: fraudelent elections in Mexico, Rap musician and youth gangs in Bogota or the brutal persecution of transgenders in Guatemala.

With the press service, poonal and radio projects ona and Matraca we want to unite the continents. Therefore we build on a close cooperation with alternative news agencies and basis radios from both worlds.

Latiamerican corresponders and german authors are creating programs for free radios and the public broadcast. Since 2004 latinamericans from Berlin are additionally reporting for the basis radios in the spanish speaking world.
The news, articles and radio programs can be read and heard for free on the NPLA homepage.

The Project was created by Nils Brock and Pamela Cuadros, while I was in charge of graphic design and programming, and the editorial work was in charge of Bettina Hoyer, Birgit Krug, Carola Caggiano, Darius Ossami
