What is Movilz?
During early 2005 the apparition of the Nokia 5200 and Nokia 5300, considered one of the first smart phones with internet connection and Flash Lite support, opened a gap in the market using a wap/web portal the users were allowed to download a Flash Lite client called “APPZ” that replaces the use of normal TXT message for GPRS communication via XML, supporting the instant communication between people with the client installed and online friend on Msn, also integrating a social media system.
Movilz pretend to integrate social media features like an avatar creation, simple multiplayer games, an a highly customizable interface with target adverts and content for sale. Also available in thematic cellphone bundles for one of the biggest mobile companies. Offering a completely branded phone for teenagers, including physical elements as cellphone cases, stickers, lanyards, gashapons.
The project developed with Pablo Ortuzar, Rubens Francois and me for the agency Promoplan, was never launched to public for funding problems.
